Fuel Scarcity: DPR seals 97 stations in Lagos, Ogun
About 99 filling stations in Lagos and Ogun states have been sealed for various market infractions and sanctioned accordingly for taking advantage of the current fuel supply shortages.
Industry regulator, the Department of Petroleum Resources, DPR, in a statement weekend, in Lagos, said the retail outlets violated various regulations and indicated the sanctions imposed on them, including:
Selling above government stipulated prices – N100K/ per pump;
Under-dispensing of products – N100K/pump;
Operating without licence – seal/shut down;
Diversion of products – N200/litre, and;
Hoarding – dispence to the public at no cost
The surprise of the list is not so much in the number of those affected but more in the fact that quite a number of the major marketers’ branded outlets were caught violating DPR market regulations as shown below:....Read More.
